To some extent, I agree with your thoughts, but not fully. Yes, they have the power, money and almost eveything that a person needs to control in today's world. In India they are the supreme power to control nature as well (Agni, Jal, Vayu).
They use their political power effectively to generate money. For e.g. if there is drought, flood, accident, all they do is to fund that never reach to the person who really needs it. They will never try to work out a permanent solution for it.
To some extent common man is also responsible to let them behave the way they want to by electing wrong leaders.
We have made them god by electing and they are working like demons here in India.
So, from next time use your head and vote to throw out the non-performers political leaders.
